Privacy policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
Find Interlock has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking cookies. This page explains the little we do collect and why.
What we collect
- Reports and messages you send
- The contact form stores your message, the listing it is about, and your name and email if you give them. The fee form stores the amounts, the state, the provider, your notes and your email if you give it. Each submission is saved in our database and a copy is emailed to us.
- Your location, only when you ask
- The Use my location button asks your browser for your position only after you tap it, and you can refuse. The coordinates go into the search page address so we can list shops near you. We do not store them in any profile. Like any page address they may appear briefly in server logs.
- Button clicks on listings
- When you tap Call, Directions, a provider website link or Report an update on a listing, we record which listing, which button and the state, with the time. Nothing about you is stored with it: no cookie, no IP address, no browser details. We use the counts to see which listings people find useful.
- Page view counts
- We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It runs without cookies and does not build a profile of you. Its privacy policy describes what it processes.
- Server logs
- Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, including your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for a short time to keep the site running and to spot abuse.
Cookies
We do not set cookies for visitors and we do not run advertising trackers. The page view counter above is cookieless. If that changes, this page will say so first.
How we use what you send
- To check and correct listings that visitors report.
- To publish fee amounts, state, provider, date and notes from fee reports. Names and emails are never published.
- To reply if you asked a question or we need to clarify a report.
We do not sell or rent any of it, and we do not use it for marketing.
Services that process data for us
- Supabase hosts the database that stores listings and submissions.
- Amazon Web Services (Simple Email Service) delivers the email copy of each submission to us.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics counts page views, without cookies.
- Map tiles are loaded by your browser directly from OpenStreetMap, which sees your IP address when a map is shown. Their privacy policy applies to those requests.
- Links to Google Maps, provider websites and forum threads take you to sites with their own policies.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep submissions for as long as they are useful for maintaining the directory. If you want a message or report you sent removed, or your email deleted from it, say so through the contact page and mention roughly when you sent it. We will remove it.
Children
The site is for licensed drivers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version. See also our terms of use.
